Gilbert Navy 25
by Dale Bennett
(Griggsville IL, USA)
I got this clock after it had been dropped and the case was in pieces. However I was able to glue it back together so it looks original.
The label on the back says:
Navy No. 25
Manufactured by Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co.
Winsted Conn., USA
Also very faintly stamped on the brass movement are the numbers 9 and 02.
Can I assume it was made in the 9th month of 1902?
Thanks for any help.
