Grandfather Clock

Well, this is a clock I inherited. From what little I know, it came over to the U.S. on a boat from Europe maybe around 1850 or later. Various experts have dated the clock from around 1830 but that's all I know - they may be wrong.

The case for the clock stands probably about 8 ft. The front has an inscription "Iac Mayer in Wienn". It has quarter hour chimes but they are not Westminster chimes.
