A Nice Vienna Regulator
I was in love with this clock as a child. It hung in my grandmother's house and just fit so nicely with the decor. She loved it and would often spend her time dusting it or readjusting it's position within the house. The chime to this day reminds me of being in her house and spending time with her. I am not sure where she got it but I think that she purchased it from an antique dealer in the neighborhood one weekend afternoon. After she passed, my cousins and I were allowed to go into the house and take five items that reminded us of my grandmother and we were to go in age order. Because I am the oldest grandchild, I was able to pick first and I picked the clock because I knew that it was something my grandmother took great pride and joy in. Now, the clock hangs in my den and I often go into the den, curl up with a good book and appreciate the memories that the clock has provided me with.
