I cannot be positive, but it looks very much like a Winterhalter & Hoffmeyer (spelling?) chiming bracket clock. The manufacturer is German and I reckon it was made in the late 19th century or early 20th century.
It's value is probably 2-3000 GBP.

Someone told me these clocks were plentiful. I've yet to find another one online so I could research it.
I wish I had a better history of this wonderful clock. To me it's a soothing part of my youth.

look at the works.If you don't see it there take the works out, they should give clues either on the works or the case

I took it to a clock shop for a cleaning. They had it for a few weeks and didn't have any info to share. On the inside on the case it said Germany and there was a letter J. It weighs 50 lbs so I don't move it too much and I'd never take it apart.
I saw one like it in an ad for Old Charter Whiskey but I have no further info as to when and where it was made.
